Can I get a certificate for a mental health day?

Yes. Mental health is covered under personal leave provisions - the same as physical illness. The certificate will not specify the nature of your condition.

Can I get a carer's leave certificate for my child?

Yes. If your child is unwell and you need time off to care for them, we can issue a carer's leave certificate. This covers your absence from school work duties.

Are these certificates valid under education department policies?

Certificates from AHPRA-registered doctors can be used as routine sick-leave evidence. Education employers and school systems still assess documents under their own leave policies.

What if I need a certificate before 8am for a morning absence?
